I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted anything; journal, artwork or poems.
After hitting a rough patch in my life and getting through that I've been extremely busy, and then I got pregnant...

I gave birth to my precious and wonderfully beautiful girl Merel on the 1st of February this year!
Since then I've been enjoying everything to do with her immensly.
It has put my life upside down in a way I couldn't have dreamed beforehand, and I'm loving every second of it.
It has also inspired me towards some new goals, and given me at least one new hobby.

While we are looking for a house to buy outside the city in order to find some peace and quiet and have more space and a garden in which to grow some of our own food, I am working on my own webstore with, at first, mostly clothing etc for babies and older children, and later on it should expand to contain small furniture, vintage shoes, bags, ceramics, tins, jars etc. I will, of course, post the website here once it is finished.

In the meantime I am indulging my new hobby, of which I'll post some examples later today. Every reason I can find gives me an opportunity to make elaborately decorated cakes and cupcakes. A perfect hobby for a mum who wants to go: 1, 2, 3, one perfect birthday cake for her little girl!
As a matter of fact, I have a load of cakes waiting for me in the kitchen to be decorated for the occasion of friends coming over tomorrow. Still haven't figured out what theme I want to give them, but I guess I'll figure it out shortly.
